Hanna's Log (2)
We have only been here for a few weeks and yet it seems like an eternity. Panama feels like home, the set feels like play, and the crew feels like family.
We have been filming all our scenes around the jungle location, Michael and Bonni’s house in the heart of the interior. Here, in the middle of the jungle, we work closely with the locals. It’s fun to kid around while waiting for the next scene. To play football with the guys, or go mingle with the girls who are cooking supper. They are all such great people, and the ‘family’ keeps expanding. The scenes start coming together, and I really feel Christian and I are growing closer acting wise. We just finished a series of night shoots which are always very intense… Yet for some reason, even at night when we are all covered in bug bites , everyone is having a blast.
One of the beautiful things about shooting in the jungle seems to be the lack of western civilization. No TV, no commercials, magazines, busy social life, cell phones, radios.. It feels like a mental detox. There is only ‘The Interior’. All we have to do is work on our scenes, and act. (Which, of course, is not always that simple) I love clearing up my mind and just feeling incredibly alive.
It seems like not just our surroundings, but this whole project is having an interesting effect on us. We all feel like we are part of something very special. Not just us as crew, but also as viewers. I simply can not wait to see the first episode and experience the impact of something that has had such an impact on my life already… Posted by hverboom on May 21, 2007 - digg it

in Cape Cod, MA A small detail
Dear Bonni,
Why is it that you wear your wedding ring on your right hand? That's European, but
definitely not American. I can't figure out if you are supposed to be a US Citizen, but I
surmised that you were. Is there an explanation that I missed, or is it just an oversight?
Sorry if this has been discussed before. I try to read everything, but I may have missed
something. It bothers me just a little that you're always so "put
together," even when you've been sick! You're so beautiful, that I really don't
feel you need to have on such perfect make-up. I think it would add, rather than subtract,
to the overall mood of the piece to go a little bit more natural. I hope you don't mind my
saying so. It's just kind of disconcerting. Other than those two minor observations, I
absolutely love your work and all the work that has been done in this first season. I'm
really looking forward to the next season's casting decisions! All the best to you and all
the top notch creative folks. Best wishes,
Judith

Hanna, your great as Bonni and your comment shows just how amazingly grounded you are and
how you seem to take in everything around you with such a positive energy. You have such
a great outlook on life, and I really admire you for that. Write back if you can.
